Source: Russia, Turkey can start consultations on jet maintenance

ANKARA, Feb 2 (PRIME) – Turkey’s airline service companies have not received official notifications about the sanction risks if they service Russian jets, but are ready to start consultations with Russia, if problems arise, a source with knowledge of the matter told PRIME on Thursday.

Russian business daily RBC reported earlier that Havas, company providing maintenance services, said it can stop taking over 170 Boeing jets of Russian airlines' due to the U.S. sanctions.

"We have seen news publications as well, but no official notifications on the matter have arrived,” the source said.

"The Russian market is important for the companies providing maintenance and transport. This is why consultations are not ruled out in case of risks, this is a business process. But there are no problems now."
